Registered Agent Pricing | Rapid Registered Agent — All 50 States, One Flat Rate

Registered Agent Pricing That Doesn’t Surprise You

Here’s the problem with most registered agent services.

They advertise $49 for the first year. Then renewal comes around and you’re paying $299. The initial rate was a loss leader. The real money is in the renewal trap.

We started Rapid Registered Agent in 2007 with a single price. That price hasn’t changed. When you renew, you pay exactly what you paid when you signed up.

No hidden fees. No renewal surprises. No fine print.

Our Pricing

We offer two plans. Both cover all 50 states, D.C., and Puerto Rico — the same flat rate in every jurisdiction.

Monthly Plan: $10 per month per state

Billed month to month. Cancel anytime. No cancellation fees.

Yearly Plan: $100 per year per state

That’s $8.33 per month equivalent — the best value if you know your registered agent needs for the year ahead.

Both plans include the same core service: document receipt and scanning, compliance reminders, state filing handling, and unlimited contact notifications.

What’s Included in Every Plan

Both plans include everything you need — not a stripped-down version with add-ons you have to pay for.

Included at no extra charge:

  • Same-day document scanning and online dashboard access
  • Email and fax notifications to unlimited contacts
  • Optional text message notifications
  • Compliance renewal reminders 30 days before your annual report deadline
  • Phone call follow-up when we’re served with a lawsuit
  • Privacy — your home address stays off public records

  • Access 24/7/365

We don’t charge for:

  • Text messages
  • Email notifications
  • Annual document storage
  • Fax transmissions
  • Cancellation
  • Changes to your account

How Registered Agent Pricing Works Across States

If your business operates in one state, you pay one rate: $10/month or $100/year for that state.

If you’re incorporated in Delaware but you have operations in Texas, you need a registered agent in both states. You’d pay $20/month or $200/year total — $10 per state.

This applies to however many states your business is registered in. Some businesses are registered in one state. Others cross multiple states. You only pay for the states you actually need.

How It Works

Getting started takes less than five minutes.

Step 1: Choose your state or states

Tell us which state your business is registered in — or which state you’re forming your business in. We cover all 50 states, D.C., and Puerto Rico.

Step 2: Complete our short form

We need your business name, entity type, and contact information for your online account. This takes about three minutes.

Step 3: We file your registered agent designation

We submit the registered agent designation to your state’s Secretary of State on the same business day. You’ll receive a confirmation once it’s processed — usually within hours.

Step 4: We handle incoming documents

From that point on, every legal document, government notice, or renewal reminder goes to us. We scan it the same business day and upload it to your dashboard. You get notified immediately by email, optional text, and optional fax.

Step 5: We remind you before compliance deadlines

Your annual report deadline is different in every state. We track it and send reminders 30 days before it’s due — giving you time to file and stay in good standing. You can also build your own compliance calendar to keep track of all your state deadlines in one place.

What You Could Pay Without a Registered Agent

Missing a legal document isn’t just inconvenient. It can cost you serious money.

If you miss a service of process:** A default judgment can be entered against your business before you even know you’ve been sued. Defending that can cost tens of thousands of dollar

If your business loses good standing:** Banks often won’t open business accounts for an LLC or corporation that’s not in good standing. Investors won’t fund it. You can’t sell it until you clean it up. According to the U.S. Small Business Administration, maintaining a registered agent is one of the core requirements for keeping your business in active status with every state where you operate.

If you’re administratively dissolved:** You lose your business name protection, your liability shield, and in many states, you have to start the reinstatement process from scratch — which can take weeks and cost hundreds in late fee

The annual cost of a registered agent is typically less than one hour of attorney time. It’s one of the cheapest forms of business insurance you can carry.

Why Businesses Choose Rapid Registered Agent

We’ve been doing this since 2007. In that time, we’ve helped businesses in every state stay compliant, stay private, and stay in good standing.

We’re transparent about pricing.** The rate on our website is the rate you pay today and the rate you’ll pay at renewal.

We respond when you call.** Our clients reach Andrew directly — not a call center. When you have a question, you get an answer.

We handle documents the same day.** When we receive a notice or service of process, it’s in your dashboard the same business day. We don’t let paperwork sit.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is the monthly plan really $10 per month with no hidden fees?

Yes. $10 per month per state, billed month to month. That includes unlimited document storage, unlimited contacts, email and optional text and fax notifications, compliance reminders, and same-day document handling. The only additional cost is the state’s own filing fee, which we pass through at cost.

What's the difference between the monthly and yearly plan?

Both plans cover the same service in all 50 states, D.C., and Puerto Rico. The yearly plan is $100 per state per year — equivalent to $8.33 per month — versus $10 per month on the monthly plan. The yearly plan is better value if you know you’ll need the service for a full year. The monthly plan is better if you want flexibility to cancel at any time.

Do I pay per business or per state?

Per state. If your LLC is registered in one state, you pay one rate. If your business is registered in three states — Delaware, Texas, and California — you pay three separate rates: $10/month or $100/year per state.

What happens when it's time to renew?

We send a reminder 30 days before your renewal date. You can renew online. If you’re on the yearly plan, you pay the same $100/year rate you paid initially — not a higher renewal rate. If you’re on the monthly plan, your billing simply continues.

Can I cancel anytime?

Yes. You can cancel your registered agent service at any time with no cancellation fees. You’ll need to designate a new registered agent with your state — we can help you with that transfer if needed.

How quickly do you file the registered agent designation?

We file the same business day we receive your order. In most cases, it’s processed within a few hours. You’ll receive a confirmation once the state has received and processed the filing.
