Forming one means filing a formation document with the state and paying the state’s fee. Rapid Registered Agent does that filing for you in every state, Washington D.C., and Puerto Rico for a flat $99 service fee. The state’s own fee is separate and ranges from $35 to $500.

That is the whole price. We do not charge for a name search, for "rush" handling of a standard filing, for a digital copy of your documents, or for an EIN (that one is free directly from the IRS, and we will tell you so). An operating agreement is yours to write or to have drafted separately; a template is free with every filing.

Most formation services advertise a low or $0 formation price, then rebuild it at checkout: a charge for the EIN, a charge for an operating agreement, an "operating" or "compliance" package, and a registered agent subscription that is free the first year and renews at $100 to $300. Who is behind it
Rapid Registered Agent was founded by Andrew Traub, a Texas-licensed attorney, and grew out of his law practice. We have handled registered agent service and state filings for business owners since 2007, for more than 500 companies. We put our phone number on every page for a reason: if something about your filing is unusual, a person who understands it will talk to you.
How it works
- Tell us the basics. Your LLC name, the state, the members or managers, and a contact address. About five minutes.
- We check the name. We confirm your name is available and meets that state's naming rules before anything is filed.
- We prepare and file. We draft the state's formation document, list your registered agent, and submit it to the filing office. If the state rejects anything, we fix it and refile – no extra charge.
- You get the approved documents. We send you the stamped formation document and a free operating agreement template, and tell you your next steps (EIN, bank account, any initial state report).
Do you also need a registered agent?
Every state requires your LLC to name a registered agent with a physical address in the state of formation. You can be your own in your home state. If you are forming in another state, work from home, or would rather keep your address off the public record, add our registered agent service at $10 per month per state. It is never bundled into the $99, and the price is locked for as long as you keep it.

How much does it cost to form an LLC?
Two numbers: the state filing fee (from $35 in Montana to $500 in Massachusetts, paid to the state) and our flat $99 service fee to prepare and file it. Registered agent service, if you add it, is $10 per month per state and is not part of the $99.
Is the $99 really the whole price?
Yes. We do not charge for a name check, for standard processing, for your documents, or for an EIN. The only other cost from us is optional registered agent service at $10 per month per state.
How long does it take?
Once we file, approval depends on the state: same day to about a week for online filings, two to six weeks for states that only take mail. We tell you the current turnaround for your state before you order, and your LLC is not legally formed until the state approves it.
Do I need a registered agent to form an LLC?
Yes, every state requires one. You can be your own in the state where you live, or add our service for $10 per month per state so your address stays off the public record.
Which state should I form in?
For almost everyone, the state where you live and do business. Forming in Delaware, Wyoming, or Nevada without a specific reason usually means paying two sets of fees, because you still have to register as a foreign LLC in your home state.
Do you form corporations too?
Not at this time. We form LLCs in all 50 states, Washington D.C., and Puerto Rico.
What do I get when it is done?
