Can I be my own registered agent in Louisiana?

Yes, if you have a physical Louisiana street address and are there during business hours. The trade-offs: your name and address go on the public record, and if your company is sued, the process server comes to that address — sometimes in front of staff or customers.

Can I use a PO box as my Louisiana registered agent address?

No. Louisiana requires a physical street address staffed during business hours so that legal documents can be handed to a person. A PO box or virtual mailbox does not qualify.

When is the Louisiana annual report due?

On or before your formation anniversary, filed with the Secretary of State every year. The LLC fee is $30, and you confirm your registered agent on the same filing.

How do I change my Louisiana registered agent?
